- FO with a tail for sewing the opening closed.
¶ Wings - 2x
- Ch 7.
- Starting from the 2nd ch from the hook: sl st, sc, hdc, dc, dc-inc, hdc+sl st.
- FO with a long tail for sewing to the body later.
¶ Head feather - optional
- Insert hook underneath a st to the side of head in row 1. Pull yarn through and ch 4.
- Sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook. Sc 2.
- FO with a long tail and pull it into the head before weaving in the ends.
¶ Finishing
- Sew wings to the sides of the body.
- Using thin yarn, embroider feet (over row 9 of body) and a beak (over row 4 of the head) to the bird.
